Electronics Development Technician Milton Keynes, Bucks £25-35k + bonus, benefits, etc
This is a very exciting time for an experienced electronics development technician to be joining this successful and expanding technology company. The company is involved with the design, development, and manufacture of innovative IoT devices (electronic sensors for condition monitoring and asset protection.)
Required: Electronics Development Technician
* Requires strong practical electronics prototype, build and test skills (able to assemble PCBs)
* Good fault finding, electronics test and repair experience (soldering, crimping, wiring, etc)
* Good communication skills, practical, flexible attitude, and ability to take on a variety of tasks
* Able to read electronics circuit diagrams
The electronics technician role will be varied and will involve supporting the design team and production team, as new products and prototypes are built, tested, and validated ahead of volume production.
You will be involved with the assembly, build and electronics test of prototype products and electronics products in the product development stage. You will also be involved with the build and support of production test and assembly jigs and fixtures.
You will need good prototype electronics skills and must be familiar with standard benchtop equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.)
Skills / Knowledge required: Electronics Development Technician
* Ideally qualified to a suitable level in electronics engineering (e.g., ONC, HNC, HND)
* Requires strong practical electronics prototype, build and electronics test skills (able to assemble PCBs)
* Good fault finding, electronics test and repair experience (soldering, crimping, wiring, etc)
* Good communication skills, practical, flexible attitude, and ability to take on a variety of tasks
* Able to read electronics circuit diagrams
Beneficial skills (nice to have): Electronics Technician
* IPC Standards Familiarity
* Mechanical assembly experience (basic)
* Able to perform basic mechanical tests
* Experience in an electronics product manufacturing environment
* Awareness of health and safety
* Basic workshop tools, Lathe, and Milling Machine Experience (can be trained)
This prototype electronics technician role is a new position for the business, the scope, and responsibilities of which will no doubt evolve in time.
