About The Role
EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall. All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.
EKFB are looking for a Design Coordinator to join our team in the Aylesbury Area. This position will assist the Design Manager with permanent work delivery. The Design Coordinator will be involved in readiness review meetings, DDRs and IDRs within the area and coordinate delivery of relevant typical section drawings and design documentation.
This role will liaise with the construction team to ensure designs are buildable and they fit with the construction programme. This role will also manage and respond to relevant commercial communications and arrange risk reduction meetings.
The Design Coordinator will support the link and coordination with designers and the construction delivery team for managing permanent works design.
About The Candidate
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Extensive experience in major civil engineering works
A good communicator and able to build positive working relationships, internally and with supply chain
Ability to coordinate and manage own workload supporting project delivery
Experienced in MS Office Suite
Excellent knowledge of relevant design standards and its applicability for the design
Understanding of HS2 Act (or similar) and its constraints is preferred
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred
