Community Support Coordinator – STEPS
Full Time – 37.5 hours per week
Salary – £25,068.14 per annum + Excellent Benefits
Location – Chalfont St. Peter and Aylesbury area, South Buckinghamshire, near M25

STEPS, Epilepsy Society’s supported living and home care service, is seeking to recruit a Community Support Co-ordinator. You will join our friendly team, where no two days will be the same. We are looking for someone who is sensitive, caring, and supportive with a great sense of humour and who can work well in a team as well as on their own. This is a full-time role, and you must be able to work flexibly to meet the requirements of the service, including split shifts, rotational shifts, and on call.

You will act as a role model to the staff team, taking responsibility for the induction, professional support, and personal development of a designated group of staff. You will also act as a named member of staff to a designated group of clients, contributing to the referral process, clients’ care needs assessments, reviews and co-ordinating the delivery of their agreed support requirements.

You will have previous demonstrable experience of working in the social care environment; a NVQ2 or equivalent; knowledge of health & social care regulations and CQC requirements and previous experience of the client group relating to supported living/domiciliary care service. Your previous experience of supervising staff and your ability to motivate others, identify staff strengths and accept and delegate responsibility appropriately will enable you to effectively carry out this role.
