Location – based at the Stoke Poges Memorial Gardens, SL2 4NZ
Work Schedule – Mainly office based with occasional travel to the High Wycombe or Penn Road Cemetery
Hours: Monday to Friday – 37 hours per week, 9:00am to 5:30pm
Pay Rate – £11.81 per hour
Overview
On behalf of Buckinghamshire Council, Pertemps Recruitment have an opportunity for an empathetic professional to join the Cemeteries Services team at the Stoke Poges Memorial Gardens in Slough as a Cemeteries Administrator. Working alongside the team, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support across six cemeteries and memorial gardens, helping to ensure that the highest standards of care are delivered

About the role
As a Cemeteries Administrator, you will have a number of responsibilities including, but not limited to the following:
Responding to enquiries from customers, families and funeral directors
Taking bookings for burial and interment services and handling memorial sales
Completing legal forms and collecting and recording data on our systems
Overseeing contractors working on our cemeteries sites
Managing payments and invoicing
Processing applications for burial plots and memorials
This is a temporary position until 30 June 2023, though there is potential for this to be extended further or progress to a permanent position. The pay rate is £11.81 per hour, and you will be working full time, 37 hours per week.
You'll be based mainly in the grounds of Stoke Poges Memorial Gardens in Slough (SL2 4NZ) and Wycombe cemeteries but will travel to cemeteries in Chiltern and South Buckinghamshire to meet the needs of our customers
About you
The successful candidate(s) should have:
Variety of administration experience
Hold a full UK driving licence, have access to a vehicle and have driving insurance covering business use
Accurate data input skills
Excellent Customer Service skills
Whilst this is administrative role, we do spend some of our time in the grounds/cemeteries looking for graves, attending burials, meeting families to choose plots, removing pots/flowers from graves so the person must like being outdoors (whatever the weather).
