Are you well organised, confident with computers and great with people? Fairhive are looking for an Assistant Director of Finance to join our busy and friendly team!
Fairhive is a non-profit affordable housing provider with ambition. We already provide affordable housing to more than 20,000 people in our community but we want to do more. That’s why we are striving to provide 1,000 additional homes by 2025.
As an Assistant Director of Finance at Fairhive you can expect to be in a dynamic role and to be an integral member of our team, providing support to the wider team to ensure the smooth running of the business.
About the Role
We are looking for an ambitious individual with strong interpersonal skills who is able to multi-task to provide direction and support to the Finance team.
On the Job you will:·
Lead the finance team to provide value added finance business partnering service across the organisation
Take overall responsibility for management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and the annual statutory accounts and audit
Ensure timely and accurate submissions of regulatory returns to various stakeholders including tax, pension and other financial returns
Provide effective leadership and direction of the Finance team, developing a high performing, motivated and customer focused team
Be a proactive member of the Assistant Directors group and the senior management group to drive financial performance and to support achievement of the strategic plan objectives.
About You
We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of a variety of projects and who enjoys working with a diverse range of people. You will understand the importance of delivering an efficient and effective service to colleagues and customers.
For this role you will need:
To demonstrate robust business leadership and commercial acumen
Be a qualified accountant with a significant number of years of relevant experience
You will ideally have skills and attributes that include:
Excellent finance business partnering skills and customer focused approach
Ability to initiate, define and project manage system and process changes to drive business efficiencies
Strong analytical skills and communication and presentation skills to influence the decision making process across the organisation
Proven experience of building effective working relationships at all levels
Ability to lead, motivate and develop finance team in a changing environment, with ability to respond promptly to change
