Overview
On behalf of Buckinghamshire Council, Pertemps Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join the ISEND Front Line team in Amersham. Working alongside the iSEND Support Coordinator, you will play an important role in providing an effective, timely and confidential administration support to staff and managers in the Integrated SEND Service as required. The ideal candidate will be process oriented and pay close attention to details
About the role
As a SEND Administrator, you will have a number of responsibilities including, but not limited to the following:
o Provide administrative support to the EHC Coordinators, in relation to the statutory processes of EHC Need Assessment and Annual Reviews
o Provide administrative support to the Educational Psychologists and Specialist Teachers, including inputting data onto ONE system, arranging of training, processing invoices.
o Processing outcomes from iSEND Surgery and Panels, to include but not limited to yes/no to assess, consultations and funding decisions
o Mailbox management, making travel arrangements, scheduling meetings, minute taking, filling / archiving, and assisting with general office duties.
o Be the main point of contact for administrative queries, acting as a filter for issues / problems. Resolve most issues in person or via direct contact with appropriate staff. Recommend alternative courses of action if unable to provide a direct solution.
o Organise and maintain records and documents using the appropriate process / system. Collate, verify, and prepare various sources of data for analysis. Process, analyse and interpret data following standard procedures.
o Provide administrative support in creating documents and maintaining spreadsheets, reports, correspondence etc. from information provided, using standard formats and software. Review own work to check for accuracy and completeness.
o Communicate effectively with internal and / or external clients. Co-operate with and support colleagues to resolve problems, within scope of role, escalating to line manager as required.
o Complete financial transactions such as: raising and payment of purchase orders, limit orders, invoices, recharges, and journal transactions using the SAP financial system.
This is a temporary position for until 10 October 2023, though there is potential for this to be extended further. The pay rate is £12.99 per hour, and you will be working full time, 37 hours per week. Buckinghamshire Council are working on a hybrid basis where you will work remotely for 3-4 days per week and in the office 1-2 days per week.
The Amersham office is conveniently situated in the town centre (HP6 area) with great transport links including a local train station and excellent road connections to the M25, M1, M4 and M40.
About you
The successful candidate(s) should have:
o Previous administration experience
o Good working knowledge of financial processes and systems (purchase invoicing, purchase orders)
o Good overall knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
o Experience of using SAP system desired but not essential
o Local Authority experience desired but not essential
